List of arcade front ends

Hyperspin is a front end, it is not a game or an emulator. A front end is a menu system that can launch other programs and emulators from one menu. Without a front end you would have to individually launch each program in Windows. If you're using an emulator you would also have to find and launch the games you want to play. Hyperspin simplifies that process by using a system of menus to launch your games.

One of the most popular front ends around and free to download for the basic version however, a premium version is available. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Launch Box

LaunchBox was originally built as an attractive frontend to DOSBox, but has since expanded to support both modern PC games and emulated console platforms. LaunchBox aims to be the one-stop shop for gaming on your computer, for both modern and historical games.

A great front end growing in popularity everyday, free to download for the basic version and a premium version is also available.

Maximus Arcade

Maximus Arcade is Windows-based software that allows you to relive thousands of classic games and creates seamless interaction with multiple arcade and console emulators while keeping the Windows environment hidden. Although best suited for use in computer-based arcade cabinets, it can be configured for use in a kiosk or simply running on a computer with a keyboard, trackball, or arcade joystick. It is widely-considered the easiest software for reliving classic games with emulators like MAME.

An easier to use front end than others that looks great and navigates very well. This is not a free software download, however, it is very affordable.

Pinball X

PinballX is a free digital pinball front end designed for digital pinball cabinets developed by the author of GameEx with components by Headsoft. It is compatible with HyperPin media and databases.
